     CASE STUDIES

 

We were retained by a large property developer in NYC building a Class A office building. In order to shift liability downstream, we drafted detailed, robust insurance requirements for the Construction Manager while being commercially reasonable. We drafted insurance addendums for the Design Professional contracts. We bid out and negotiated Builders Risk coverage using our specifications. On behalf of Owner, we reviewed insurance documentation provided by Contractors in order to ensure the proper coverage was in place thereby protecting the Owner. The result was a comprehensive insurance program protecting the Developer while shifting as much liability as possible to downstream contractors.
