The Managing Partner and Owner, Michael T. Oliva, has over 25 years of diversified industry experience in risk management and insurance brokerage. Unlike typical Risk Managers, Mr. Oliva has extensive insurance brokerage experience (over 18 years) having worked for a global brokerage firm in NYC giving him uncommon insight and expertise when dealing with your insurance broker or other insurance vendors.

MANAGING PARTNER

 

Michael T. Oliva is the Managing Principal of BMK Risk Management Consultants. Mr. Oliva has more than 25 years of experience in risk management and insurance brokerage, is a graduate of The College of Insurance in NYC and holds CPCU and ARM designations.

 

Prior to starting BMK Risk Management Consultants, Mr. Oliva was a Senior Vice President with a New York City based risk management consulting firm. His role included acting as the outsourced risk manager for companies in various industries including real estate, construction, technology, manufacturing, retail and energy clients. Mr. Oliva also performed extensive Due Diligence work for Private Equity Investment firms throughout the world. Previously Mr. Oliva was a Vice President of Casualty for over 15 years at global insurance broker Willis Inc.

 

Mr. Oliva has extensive experience in a variety of industries but has deep domain expertise in the Real Estate, Construction and Energy sectors. He has particularly strong skills in negotiating premiums and coverage, performing coverage reviews, contract review as respects leases and construction agreements and manuscripting custom policy wording.
